Building the TLX Swampwood set

It's about time, right? I've battled some serious motivation issues, some scheduling issues, some technical issues, and the holidays. Oh, the holidays! But, the new year is in full swing, and I've muscled out some printed pages from my aging printer. I *will* get this TLX conversion completed. I will.

The TLX stuff actually builds pretty quickly, even if it's not exactly thrilling work. In one distracted evening, I've got enough walls and posts for one or two huts, and I've got the trusses and tiles started. Once I'm done, I'll be able to build a whole bunch of different sizes and shapes of huts, and it'll be easy peasy to add on to it!

But, here's what I'm planning. First, I'll get the hut tile made for this round hut. That, and a small and hallway tile for square huts. Then I'll get a couple standard TLX roof pieces made, and... FINALLY... I'll try making some of the different special roof pieces. Yay.

If nothing goes wrong, then it's only cutfiles that stand in my way of releasing this conversion and moving on to the next thing.

  1. Im very excited about this set and anything else you make afterwards!
    Keep going Mike :)

  2. What did you mean "I'll try making some of the different special roof pieces."?
Will this set come with your truss-covering roofs? Or did you mean special as in hut looking roofs?

    1. Sorry for the late reply... I'll post about that in a minute. I meant the truss-covering roof pieces, and I've pretty much decided that they will be a separate kitbash to the actual huts. I didn't want to hold up getting the huts kitbash to the judges, and I've discovered some minor issues with those truss-covering roof pieces that I need to resolve before turning them loose on the world.
